Newly promoted police captain Bennett Carlyle considers being project manager for the new district substation the way to prove her worth in the male-dominated upper ranks of the department. But when the first girl she loved returns as the architect with little understanding of the operational needs of a police station, Bennett’s career and her heart could face permanent damage. Architect Kerstin Anthony believes the new police substation will be the springboard to her own firm and the necessary resources to care for her mother. When she confronts the girl she kissed in high school, now a tantalizing police officer with unrealistic expectations about the new facility, Kerstin’s path to success becomes littered with unexpected hurdles. Along with tight deadlines, budget restraints, and architectural challenges, she has to battle both past and present feelings for the woman she was torn away from years ago.

Sound Of Love: A Gay Romance Collection is the third bundle of 3 sensual and steamy M/M romances from authors Topher James, Raiden King, and Reya Karl, who previously brought you Journey Of Love: A Gay Romance Collection, and What The Heart Wants: A Gay Romance Collection. From sexy and sweet brand new experiences, to new self-discoveries and awakenings, to lusty first times, and to love that stands the test of time, these three gay romance stories will make you laugh, smile, cry, fan yourself, and leave you satisfied. Contained in this 350+ page box set anthology are the M/M romance books Where You Least Expect, The Young Nurse, and The Reunion. * Where You Least Expect Love is confusing. It intertwines with lust, with a base attraction so animal and powerful, it can make a man do things he shouldn’t. It can make a man think things are one way… when they are the other. I thought I was in love with Terrence. He was everything I wanted in a man. But I slowly began to realize that I was just in love with the fantasy of him. Terrence in theory. And the person I was really falling in love with… the man who would stand by my side, love me, support me… Was someone I could never have imagined. Greg used to cruise for girls. Greg was the ladies man on campus, a star athlete back in the day. And here he was… his gorgeous eyes looking right through me. And he’s telling me that he’s falling for me… And that this could be the beginning of our happily ever after. * The Young Nurse My marriage to my wife ended once the kids left the house. All of a sudden, we didn't know each other. We divorced. It was amicable. It's not exactly a new story. Here I am, forty-three, and in shape. Not to get too cocky, but let's just say I'm the kind of man my age who is *very* eligible. The problem? Every woman I've dated I've had no interest in. What exactly is wrong with me? Then I got sick. I had to stay in the hospital. That's where I met Taden, my young, handsome male nurse... ...And everything in my life changed. He asked if I needed help getting into the shower, and he helped me undress. His touch lingered on my skin like electricity. But I'm not gay. I'm attracted to women! So why do I find myself thinking about Taden every waking minute? Why do I fantasize about him in my dreams? And why do I desperately want to tell him... ...so he can touch me again? * The Reunion It all started with a chance encounter. I bumped into Gary in St. Ives, the sea-salty air whipping past us. His deep brown eyes stopped time itself, and the coppery hair that lined his chest sparkled in the sun. Little did I know that we were schoolmates way back when. An impromptu reunion, you could say. But I had no idea what lay in store for me. Gary invited me onto his yacht. Gary flirted with me. And before I knew it, every inhibition I had was crumbling. This was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. Who could have expected it would turn into a torrid affair with a gorgeous man? Who could have expected that happily ever after might just be on the itinerary? *

His screen history is vividly brought to life through illuminating reviews, behind-the-scenes stories, and hundreds of rare color and black-and-white photographs, making this the ultimate guide to the films of Frank Sinatra and an essential in the library of any fan.

I guess I always felt even if the world came to an end, McDonald’s still would be open. High school sophomore Miranda’s disbelief turns to fear in a split second when an asteroid knocks the moon closer to Earth, like "one marble hits another." The result is catastrophic. How can her family prepare for the future when worldwide tsunamis are wiping out the coasts, earthquakes are rocking the continents, and volcanic ash is blocking out the sun? As August turns dark and wintery in northeastern Pennsylvania, Miranda, her two brothers, and their mother retreat to the unexpected safe haven of their sunroom, where they subsist on stockpiled food and limited water in the warmth of a wood-burning stove. Told in a year’s worth of journal entries, this heart-pounding story chronicles Miranda’s struggle to hold on to the most important resource of all—hope—in an increasingly desperate and unfamiliar world. An extraordinary series debut! Susan Beth Pfeffer has written several companion novels to Life As We Knew It, including The Dead and the Gone, This World We Live In, and The Shade of the Moon.

This early work by D.H Lawrence was originally published in 1923 and we are now republishing it with a brand new biography. Set in post-First World War Berkshire, The Fox, like many of D. H. Lawrence’s other major works, deals with psychological relationships, in this case, of three protagonists in a triangle of love and hatred. Lacking help from any male laborers, Nellie March and Jill Banford struggle to maintain a marginal livelihood at the Bailey Farm. A fox has raged through the poultry, and although the women—particularly the more masculine Nellie—have tried to shoot the intruder, he seems always to elude traps or gunshot. The fox becomes a hindrance, but March finds she cannot hunt it, and rather, she becomes entranced by it. Shortly after this, Henry, a young man, comes to stay with the women, and a link is established between the fox and Henry. D.H Lawrence is an English author, poet, playwright, essayist and literary critic. His collected works represent an extended reflection upon the dehumanizing effects of modernity and industrialization. In them, Lawrence confronts issues relating to emotional health and vitality, spontaneity, human sexuality and instinct.
